Let's Twist Again.

This must be one of my happiest day i think.
We did it school canteen style.
And this is a damn hilarious pic. Von better eat more, otherwise the wind will blow her away!
I'm losing weight by the month man. My job is a fantastic keep slim programme.

Fantastic funny company, dinner by candle light with lotsa wine. And hey, i didn't know you can make garlic bread with just butter and minced garlic. I wanted to buy ready-made garlic butter. But HE kept saying "no, no..you make it from scratch." So i did..and boy was i proud of my creation. Secret ingredient: Parsley.

You know ah..ang mohs..their taste very different from us Asians. When i heard we were hosting a dinner party, i was excited about getting ALOT of stuff. You know how Asians like to present a spread, a feast to their guests. But nooooo..ang mohs do it differently. He said just pasta with PLAIN sauce would be enough. Omg, no meat one leh!! No 'liao' leh!!

You would think he's being stingy, but actually the cheese for the sauce that we bought from Paragon already cost $60. Then plus all that expensive wine...

Maybe it's just me..i'm not used to such a 'plain' dinner, but everyone else loved it! But actually, i once dined at an atas Italian restaurant and their pastas come plain too. Horribly plain. Not that it tasted plain, but yeah..no ingredients loh.
And then we played Twister. Or rather, the permanent fixtures on that mat was only us 3. No one else wanted to play! Especially the guys. So we had to entertain everyone by getting down and dirty.
And she had the cheek to make us stay in that difficult position to wait for her to pose and take a picture!

We had many improvisations to make it more challenging.
Its Halloween today and i was so looking forward to dressing up. But i'm down with FEVER! How sucky. Guess Minnie Mouse will have to wait till next year. And he said he likes Minnie Mouse.Hahaha, first time i heard a guy tells me he likes Minnie Mouse!! Guess that answers my question when i was in the shop " Who in the world fantasizes about Minnie Mouse!"

This art gallery rocks.

I'm there to sway a vote.
For once, the reader is prettier than cover girl.

Predicting 60 years later. Haha, abit morbid. Which reminds me, should i celebrate my birthday at Clinic? Soley because i have a voucher for a free birthday cake there. Hahahaha..
I like the way she lovingly dusts my brother's head. Sounds wrong..

This reminds me of late night in Perth city.
I'm revisiting Il Lido tonight at Sentosa! Wooo...i think a sore throat is developing...shoots.
Next week will be happening....

It's been a week of meeting new friends. And friends made, indeed.
It feels good getting out, it feels good mixing around.

Then another dinner gathering with more friends to be made.
The girl standing, her name is Jujube! An American. Like a name out of Star Wars! Its in her ID! So many exclaimations. You can understand how astonished i was when introduced. With a name like that, great way to start conversations actually. But i guess she's bored of getting these all the time. At least its not like those Hong Kong names. Public Har, Fight Chan, Unique Wong etc.

It's a see through bathroom in the bedroom. How wicked is that!

剑不能有悔, 蝶不能无双

I never knew Marina Mandarin had real birds giving a live performance within the hotel! It's such a fantastic idea. When i first stepped in, i thought it was a CD playing out those sorta peaceful music (waterfalls, birds chirping). But my colleague pointed out to me the cages.

They only had 2 but these little birdies' vocals were strong enough to fill the entire hotel! I bet they cost a bomb. And also i think the design of the hotel enhanced the acoustics of the birds.

I wanna have such birds in my living room next time too.Never a fan of 吴尊but on Wednesday, i took 71 photos of him.Maybe i had a spasm in my finger, maybe my camera was on fast shutter mode, or maybe he is simply too handsome to NOT snap away.

Before meeting him, i had a preconception of him being haughty, vain and a man of few words. After meeting him, i was reminded again the greatest flaw of humans is judging someone before knowing her/him.He's very chatty, friendly and polite. And look at those veins!! H-O-T. International celebrities' managers are usually very fierce man. Sometimes it's not the celebrity who put on airs, but because their managers front them, you will think they put on airs.

His skin is baby smooth, every thread immaculate, not a strand of hair out of place. If he was a dish, i would say he's a fine dish. He's very chatty, friendly and polite. Better yet, he can speak fluent English!

Additional tidbits: he was gutted that tao suan and Hokkien prawn mee wasn't included in the feast his entourage ta pao-ed from the hawkers. Also, he once had a gf who they got attached few months before he was scheduled to leave for his studies in Australia. After he left for Australia, he missed her so much that he returned after a month and shelved his studies for a year.I was thinking," buuuut in the end still break up, isn't it."Hahaha...soooo mean. But i guess at least he has no regrets, and there'll be no "what ifs".

So disappointed, the picture was not very well-taken. Had to adjust the colours etc abit to make us look better. Doesn't do him justice either. Thankfully (or not), my colleague took another picture. But i think we look the same. Although his movie poster behind is clearer and he looks handsome there. Haha. He has very feminine features. And i guess some people will find him handsome, some not. But most girls do, which is why i took a picture with him. To make them jealous. Hahahaha...

I am...woman, after all. 情女装 leh! Yaar...i called him last night to plan it.

Fremantle

Sometime back my elder brother's friends Derek and his girlfriend came to visit me. I'm so glad my brother pointed them in the right direction. Because we had a fantastic time (though very short) together. I can't even remember how we hit off. We've never met before. Just that my brother passed them my contact number, and they flew 3000 miles for a blind date. So a year later, Derek finally sent me the photos. I still see him here and there, his girlfriend works beneath me. Literally. (She's on 2nd floor, i'm on 4th) Was telling him i'm glad the photos arrived a year later, because it's nice to look back on memories after time has passed.
I love this picture! Behind us is the spot that buskers usually perform at. On my left is the Fremantle market where locals usually visit on Sundays to get cheap fruits and vegetables. They also sell many other trinklets and what-nots.
I drove them another 20Km or so out of the city for the World's Best Pizza. Looking back at my days in Perth, gosh..my skin was so good! I get the occassional break-out in Singapore. But in Australia, my skin was perfect and rosy! But, i guess i was fairer and fatter in Australia too. I run and swim in Australia, plus a healthy diet. But dunnoe why..just won't lose any weight. Maybe its cause its not as humid as in Singapore. So we hardly perspire = no weight loss. OH, and plus the amount of STRESS we get in Singapore??!!
This was only ONE take. Pays to be trained in martial arts and dancing. I will not show off the numerous stunt photos Derek took. He's such a show off. Hahaa

Her arms must be so big i was afraid it was gonna cover my face. Or maybe i just wanted to check if she shaved.

She was looking at the ducklings and he was creeping up, i suppose. Brought them to UWA grounds and a family of ducks reside there!
I can't remember if they said the pizza was good. It's one year ago!

Although it happened one year ago, i don't remember intentionally placing my glasses like that.

See, definitely fatter down under. See that tummy? I miss my Honda! I remember cleaning her in and out every once in awhile, i remember coaxing her to start up when she's too cold. I remember her getting me to work early in the morning and getting me home late at night. I remember her taking me to markets and bringing home the groceries, i remember my friends riding in her, impressed with her beauty.
I hope the old man who bought her over is treating her well now. Am so glad Derek suggested taking a picture with her, it's the one and only picture that i have with her.
On their last night, i brought them to Burswood. Hahaha..because there's no other place open other than the casino! Hahaha..then used my DOME stamp cards that i kapo from my workplace to get us free drinks! Hahaha...oh, now i know why no matter how i exercised, i won't lose weight. It's because i've been working at eateries!! And you get to snack on chips, roast, sandwiches and tons of hot chocolate.
Very typical of Singaporean tourists. Tickled at seeing their country name in the foreign land.

The car Derek rented, also the car i embarrassed myself with. They drove it to my house right, and i drove them to Fremantle and returned with their car to my house. Some arrangement, i can't remember why. So anyway, i drove back, parked in my driveway and went to get something.
When i was ready to go off, i stuck the key in, but i couldn't ignite the engine! I kept trying to turn the key as you would normally start a car, but it just won't budge. I nearly broke the key, i tell you.
I even had to ask my neighbour over to help me start the car! Thinking he's a man, he would know better. But we sat there for a good ten minutes figuring why the key wouldn't turn. And just because he is a man, he realised my gear stick was in D mode instead of P, thus the key can't turn. Now, that's one lesson learnt.
I miss Perth, i miss my house, i miss my neighbourhood, i miss my workplace, i miss my house mates.
I miss going round the next street playing majong, i miss the shopping, i miss the weekends where we'll do nothing but grocery shop, warehouse shop (where its cheap yet current surf brands), buy bubble tea and $4.99 pizzas, then rent DVDs and stay at home.
Why is it just not the same here in Singapore?
